The Mischievous Kid Who Overlooked His Manners
There was a kid named Leo who loved to have fun. He was clever and amusing, but he had one issue—he never said hello to anyone.
Whenever he walked by his neighbors, he just dashed past.
When his teacher greeted him with a “Good morning,” Leo merely waved his hand.
Even at home, when his grandma beamed at him, he hurried by without saying anything.
One day, Leo wanted to borrow a ball from the older kids at the playground. He sprinted over and demanded, “Give me the ball!”
But the older kids shook their heads. “Leo, you never say hi to us. Why should we share with you?”
Leo felt down. That evening, his grandma took a moment to talk to him and said softly,
“My dear, greetings are little keys that unlock big doors. A kind word can open people’s hearts to you.”
The next morning, Leo made an effort.
“Good morning, teacher.”
“Hello, Mrs. Ana.”
“Good afternoon, Grandma.”
To his surprise, everyone greeted him with warm smiles. And when he returned to the playground, the older kids said, “Hi, Leo! Want to join us?” and tossed him the ball.
From that day forward, Leo always remembered: a simple hello could make a huge difference.
✨ Lesson: Showing respect by greeting elders and others is a small gesture that brings great rewards—kindness always finds its way back to you.
